Download ebooks & audiobooks to the Libby app
Borrow ebooks & audiobooks from the OverDrive website on your computer:
- Find Etown's OverDrive site: https://etown.overdrive.com/.
- Search for an available title in our collection and click Borrow.
- Or, click the title's jacket to open its details page and learn more about it.
- If prompted, sign in using your Etown network username and password.
- Choose a lending period for the title (if available).
- Then, select Borrow again.
- After you borrow the title, you can:
- Click Read now with Kindle (U.S. only) to go to Amazon's website and send the book to your Kindle or Kindle reading app.
- Read an ebook or magazine in your web browser. Learn more about reading in your browser.
- Listen to an audiobook in your web browser. Learn more about listening in your browser.
- Download an EPUB or PDF ebook to free Adobe Digital Editions software. From there, you can transfer ebooks to supported ereaders.
- To see all of your borrowed titles, select loans at any time to go to My account -- Loans.

- Download or open Libby on your device:
- iOS devices: Apple App Store
- Android devices: Google Play
- Amazon Fire tablets: Amazon Appstore
- Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks: libbyapp.com
- Note: libbyapp.com works best in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
- In Libby, follow the prompts to find Elizabethtown College and sign in with a library card, i.e. your Etown network username and password.
- Find something to borrow:
- Tap Search to find a specific title, author, series, etc.
- Tap Library to browse your library's catalog. You'll find helpful filters, catalog guides, and curated lists created by your library.
- Tip: Not ready to read a title, but want to keep track of it? Tag it for later.
- Your loans and magazines appear on your Shelf
, in the navigation footer. By default, all book and audiobook loans are downloaded for offline use when you have a Wi-Fi connection.
- On your Shelf
:
- Tap Loans to read or manage your borrowed titles.
- Tap Holds to see your place in line and manage your holds.
- Tap Timeline to see your Libby activity history.
- Tap Notices to see in-app notifications for your loans and holds. Choose what you want to be notified about under Menu > Notifications.
- Tap a magazine on your Magazine Rack to start reading.
