Course reserves are materials placed on reserve for a specific class. An item on course reserve has restricted and limited use. Sometimes students are only allowed to view the item in the library for 1 to 3 hours. This assures that the item will always be at the library for students who will need to use the material. Some instructors allow that their class reserves may be available to students on an overnight or 24 hour loan period. In these cases, the material may leave the library for student use.
