Answer

If an item is currently checked out, you can place a hold through the catalog by selecting the "Place Hold" option on the left side of the screen and entering the requested information.

By placing a hold, you will be the next person to receive the item when it's returned.  If you need the book more immediately, use the database WorldCat to order the title on Interlibrary Loan.  If the item is held by Area Colleges, it will come more quickly.
