How can I adhere to copyright laws while using images during class, in handouts, and online?
In many cases, fair use and educational exceptions allow images to be used in face-to-face instruction and in course management systems (e.g. Blackboard). Erring on the side of safety, do not include copyrighted images on handouts. Moreover, obtain permission before posting copyrighted images on the Web.
